Master of Theology

Master of Theology

The Master of Theology degree is 30 credits beyond the M.Div. (for a total of 120 credits). Most course-work is in biblical languages and research, culminating in the thesis, the capstone
project. The Th.M. also prepares students to enter post-graduate (doctoral) research programs such as a Ph.D. or Th.D. This degree is also beneficial for those who desire to teach in an academic institution and/or who desire to be more effective in their teaching and preaching ministry.

Applicants for the Th.M. program must have completed the Master of Divinity (a minimum of 90 credit hours, including one year each of biblical Greek and Hebrew), or equivalent, with a minimum 3.0 GPA, prior to enrollment. Those who have not completed the biblical language requirement may still enroll but must complete the first year language requirements before proceeding to subsequent years of language study.
